My Paramedic Listicle

3 Good Reasons to Become a Paramedic

To be able to be a paramedic is in my a opinion a dream job. You are able to work with different people and help the ones in need. I'm going to study in this field next year, and I want to share with you are the positive aspect of this technique and what the job its self can bring you. In addition of all the positive aspect of this incredible job, you will also learn about the negative in the following paragraphs.

1. The absence of routine When you are a paramedic and you receive calls which you don't know what are about. It is never the same thing. During your shift, you will receive many different calls. Sometime they will have to deal with gunshot victims, poisoning victims, car crash victims, heart attack victims, and many more. You are often the first EMT on the scene, and every call is different, you never know what to expect. In this job, although some tasks can often be repetitive, the routine isn't the same every day. Your shifts can sometimes varies from 8 hours, 12 hours and even 24 hours. You will rarely eat at the same time and even work the same streets.
2. The action First of all, being a Paramedic is a very dangerous job. You are often expose to danger during your shifts. It will be stressful since you don't always know what you're walking into. Some situation will need you to be active, you will have to be prepared to anything. Your patients could have a brain injury, some mental issues, or even on the influence of some drugs. Also, while practicing medicine, you never know what can go according to plan.
3.The responsibilities Paramedics have a lot of pressure because they are working with medicine and have their patients life in their hands. Even though this can be extremely stressful it can also be rewarding, knowing you help save someone or bring a child into this world.
